Local Sports Club

Parallel Architecture was approached by a local sports club with a vision to expand its facilities and community engagement to ensure its long-term survival. Our team embarked on a journey of concept development and presentations, working closely with the club to get members onboard with our proposal. These efforts paved the way for further steps, including engaging with the council, collaborating with other clubs, and exploring potential fundraising opportunities. Together, we aimed to create a space that would cater to a variety of sports activities and foster community involvement.

Reclad & Reflow

In this project, our team was entrusted with the transformation of a small family home that had undergone extensions over the years without considering the flow of the space. Our approach involved fixing the position and flow of the home while addressing the exterior issues. We undertook a full reclad, which allowed for the installation of a cavity system, double glazing, and comprehensive insulation, all within the existing footprint. By improving the home's thermal performance and reconfiguring the layout, we created a more functional and energy-efficient living environment for the family residing within.

Knock-down & Rebuild

Parallel Architecture took on the challenge of a special character area project, which involved the removal of an outdated and disjointed building. Through a collaborative approach with the client, we devised a plan to demolish the existing structure and replace it with a new special character family home. Our team navigated the complexities of working within special character guidelines to ensure a successful outcome. The result was a harmonious blend of modern design and character elements, creating a beautiful and functional home that met the client's needs and respected the unique character of the area.

Wine Cellar

Parallel Architecture was involved in the creation of a stunning wine cellar within a subfloor space. The design centrepiece of the wine cellar was a captivating glass ceiling panel, which allowed for an impressive view from the front entry, looking down into the cellar. This transparent feature added an element of intrigue and sophistication to the overall design, creating a visually striking focal point within the home. Below sits the remarkable wine cellar that seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetics of the property. Its strategic placement and captivating glass ceiling panel not only enhanced the functionality of the space but also created a visually stunning experience for anyone entering the home.
